“Working with IGP has been an incredibly meaningful experience. I developed stronger research skills, particularly in analyzing and engaging with academic literature, while gaining a deeper understanding of Peace and Conflict studies. “During my time as an intern at IGP, I have gained valuable experience and developed my research skills, while also gaining a deeper understanding of the field of Peace studies. The IGP has been incredibly supportive throughout my internship and the guidance I received has helped me grow and develop as a researcher. I would highly recommend an internship at IGP, and it is an opportunity and experience that I will always cherish.”

“An internship with IGP is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in international relations and peacebuilding. During my time as an intern, I’ve developed as a researcher and gained valuable insight into the complexities of conceptualizing peace. Anders has given me a great deal of independence in my work while always being available for guidance and discussion when needed.”

Alexandra Otterheim
Research Trainee

“Interning with IGP was a great opportunity for me to develop my research and analytical skills and to put these skills into practice. What I found especially rewarding was to be able to contribute directly to the field of Peace and Conflict studies and to see my work transform into a visible outcome through my contribution to a research paper. An internship with the IGP is a perfect way to start off your career and gain hands-on experience both in Peace and Conflict studies and in working for an NGO.”

“As an intern with IGP I had the opportunity to, with valuable guidance, advocate for what I am passionate about whilst also in detail learning about the UN and UN procedures. My experience was very rewarding and I would strongly recommend interning with IGP, especially for those at the beginning of their career wanting to learn more about advocacy and research.”
Mentee

Camila Contreras
Mentee
Trinity College Dublin
“This mentorship is an excellent programme for early-career researchers in the field of Peace and Conflict studies looking to gain hands-on experience with the role of NGOs in the UN system. Beyond the substantive learning, it also offers real opportunities to grow professionally. The IGP provided a space to expand my network and equipped me with the tools to attend conferences and submit papers on matters related to peace and security. I definitely recommend it.”
